Still I Rise Poem

Still I Rise: By Maya Angelou

1. What is her poem about?
2. What lines seem interesting, almost cool to you?
3. Which parts can someone your age relate to? Why?

1.) I think her poem means that no matter how hard people try to shoot you down, you make make your self succeed.

2.) "You may shoot me with your words,You may cut me with your eyes,You may kill me with your hatefulness,But still, like air, I'll rise."

3.) "You may shoot me with your words,You may cut me with your eyes,You may kill me with your hatefulness,But still, like air, I'll rise." These lines are very useful to someone my age. High school can be mean. You can be fighting with your best friend, but you have to remember that you are your own person. Dont let other people control your feelings and the way you look at life. Thats why i like these lines!
